Here are 10 of our Favourite Groovy Tunes and why we love them!
1. Dancing Queen by ABBA - Arma
One of the reasons why I chose the famous Dancing Queen song by ABBA was because it always makes me think of old school parties. The electric timbre in the song really makes it perfect for a Roller Disco Event!
2. Relight My Fire by Dan Hartman - Dylan
It's always nice to hear a long track. The groove is constant and the song builds nicely. Always gets me singing by the end.
3. You Should Be Dancing by Bee Gees - Nansee
I love the Bee Gees! And this is such an awesome song because it always gets me moving - and I'm NOT a dancer! It's also iconic of that disco era...along with Saturday Night Fever etc.
4. Danza Kuduro by Don Omar ft. Lucenzo - Safa
I just like that song because it reminds me of summer time and it's a great song to dance to!
5. Blue Monday by New Order - Brea
I remember hearing my parents listen to this song when I was a kid, so when I heard it on the soundtrack of "Ready Player One" a few years ago the melody and beat were immediately recognizable! This extended version is the best version, I love the synth-pop vibe and how darkly funky it is.
6. Stayin' Alive by Bee Gees - Shalayna
Stayin’ Alive by Bee Gees is my favourite disco song by far! It’s just so upbeat and you can’t help but dance and sing along with it!
