Alexandra Kale- Stage Manager
Alexandra is thrilled to be working with Vera Causa Opera for the 2019 Canadian Opera Festival! Though this is her first experience working backstage on an opera, Alex has worked on a fair number of plays and musicals in both university and high school. Most recent credits include: Stage Manager and Designer for Culture Clash Theatre Club productions of The Fandom (March 2018) and What We Leave Behind (December 2018); Crew member for TomorrowLove with UWaterloo Theatre and Performance (November 2018); and Head of Props for St.Elizabeth Productions’ performance of The Little Mermaid (April 2017).
Alex is a second-year Honours Arts and Business student majoring in Theatre at the University of Waterloo. This program is preparing her for a career in Stage Management by combining her passion for theatre with a detailed knowledge of business practices. Originally from Richmond Hill, she is excited to gain an inside perspective of the Kitchener-Waterloo theatre community. As a fan of Modern musicals such as Rent and Come From Away, the innovative creations being presented at the 2019 Canadian Opera Festival intrigue Alex. She is proud to be working on these new operas and hopes the audience enjoys the show!
