Our first show of the season, Don Pasquale was a huge success! With two full shows both at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts and Knox Presbyterian Church in Waterloo, we are excited to share some photos from the shows! The hour and a half performance had the audience applauding and laughing throughout, thoroughly enjoying themselves.
We received overwhelmingly positive messages from the audience after the show and were thrilled to meet new opera enthusiasts and welcome new members to our membership circle. Additionally, we once again would like to thank our sponsors: Traces Screen Printing, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada Inc, Kitchener Public Library, Cambridge Centre for the Arts, Cambridge & North Dunfries Community Foundation, Canada 150, The City of Cambridge and Community Foundations of Canada. Thank you to Esta Chocolates, Raymond's Flower Shop and Kicking Horse Coffee for donating items to our shows, and to Lou Dawg's Waterloo for hosting our after-party! A big thank you goes out to the cast, the orchestra, the VCO chorus, the high-school volunteers, our production team, our VCO team, the VCO Board of Directors, and our Editorial Director Debra Langan. Of course, we also would like to thank everyone that showed up to either experience opera for the first time, or see opera once again performed in Cambridge and Waterloo! Without you, we could not have pulled off another enjoyable, affordable, and accessible opera.
