The Daughter of the Regiment Opens to Packed Audience

Last night the Toyota Auditorium at the Cambridge Centre for the Arts was packed as Vera Causa Opera performed The Daughter of the Regiment. The hour and a half performance had audiences applauding and laughing throughout, thoroughly enjoying themselves. To ensure that was communicated to the performers, the cast and crew were greeted with a standing ovation at the end of the performance!

We received overwhelmingly positive messages from the audience after the show and were thrilled to welcome 17 new members to our membership circle, and even more to our newsletter mailing list. Additionally, we once again would like to thank all involved including our sponsors: Traces Screen Printing, Kitchener Public Library, Cambridge Centre for the Arts, Margaret Schiketanz Real Estate, and Scorpions Volleyball. A big thank you goes out to the cast, the orchestra, the high school volunteers, our Stage Director Rachel Kalap, our Artistic Director Dylan Langan, our Fundraising and Event Coordinator Julijana Hajdinjak, our Social Media Coordinator Tsya Gagnon, the Board of Directors, and our Editorial Director Debra Langan. Of course, we also thank everyone that showed up last night to either experience opera for the first time, or see opera once again performed in Cambridge! Without all of you, we could not have pulled off the production last night to create an affordable, accessible and enjoyable opera.

In case you missed the performance or want to see it again, you can view the production on our YouTube page, linked here. To join our mailing list, contact vcopera@gmail.com and stay informed about all upcoming events. Be sure to keep an eye in the Cambridge Times for an upcoming feature on Vera Causa Opera and on December 9th, we will reveal information about our next show, coming in March!
